Aba Acquaah-Harrison is a dedicated and versatile lawyer at Up Legal Group, bringing a wealth of experience across multiple practice areas. With a strong foundation in both personal injury (currently defense-focused) and general civil litigation, Aba has previously practiced in family law, employment law, and human rights law. Her commitment to achieving positive outcomes for her clients is evidenced by her meticulous approach and attention to detail.

Aba’s educational background includes a Diploma in Personnel Management from Thames Valley University, a Diploma in Legal Assistant Studies with highest honors, and a Bachelor of Laws with honors from the University of London. Following her Post Graduate Diploma in Law (Legal Practice Course) in 2014, Aba earned her Certification of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation in 2016, leading to her admission to the BC Bar in 2018.

Notably, Aba played an integral role as second chair in the 2021 Liu v. Howes case, where she was commended for her exceptional preparation and organization of submissions. The managing partner praised her tireless work ethic and dedication, which contributed significantly to a favorable outcome for the client.

Beyond her legal work, Aba is actively involved in initiatives that give back to the community. Through the Phileo Foundation, she helps support an orphanage and widows in Ghana, providing essential skills to empower financial independence. She also participates in a Free Eye Screening initiative, bringing much-needed eye care and supplies to underserved communities in Ghana.

Prior to her legal career, Aba worked as a legal assistant in various firms, including McCarthy Tétrault LLP, gaining valuable experience across litigation, tax, corporate, commercial, and real property law. In her personal time, Aba enjoys engaging in home improvement projects, hosting family and friends, and taking daily walks. Her dedication to her clients, community, and family underscores her commitment to making a meaningful impact both in and outside of her legal practice.
