Howard Sham

Howard Sham is a skilled and experienced lawyer at Up Legal Group, specializing in personal injury law and insurance defense. Born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, Howard holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from the University of British Columbia and a Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law. He is a member in good standing with the Law Society of British Columbia, and had previously practised in Washington State.

With a diverse legal background, Howard has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury cases, including ICBC defense and civil litigation matters. In addition, Howard has experience in family law including divorce proceedings, property disputes, parenting time, and support payment resolutions. In his current role, he independently manages complex litigation files, conducts examinations for discoveries, attends mediations, drafts legal documents, and prepares for trial. His experience also includes several years as a solo practitioner in Washington State, where he focused on criminal defense and honed his advocacy skills across multiple state courts.

Outside of his legal practice, Howard enjoys traveling, fine dining, and following the Vancouver Canucks. Fluent in English and Cantonese, he is dedicated to providing exceptional service to his clients and delivering strategic solutions tailored to their unique needs.
